After neighbours learnt about the incident, they rushed to the family’s aid and took all four members in a critical condition to the Government Hospital in Gangapur City. Doctors there referred them to Jaipur for advanced treatment, police sources said.

However, Ram Dayal Bairwa, Raj Bai, and their younger son, Laxmi Narain, succumbed on the way to Jaipur. The fourth member, Vijay Raj Bairwa, remains in critical condition at a Jaipur hospital.

The exact circumstances leading to the incident were not immediately known. According to neighbours, the family had reportedly been under depression for the past few days.
